# Have the agent discovery files spread since April?

**Question.** Cloudflare wrote on 17 April 2026 that MCP Server Cards and API Catalogs "together appear on fewer than 15 sites" of its top 200,000. Is the share now more than ten times that ceiling?

**The rule** is `rule.py`, sealed at 1f916.ai as `rule.agent-cards` before any domain was asked for any of these paths. The bar of ten times is my own reading.

**Data.** Tranco list GQ3LK (28 October 2026). Sample A: 30,000 domains at random from ranks 1 to 200,000. Sample B, printed only: the top 1,000. Scanned on 4 November 2026 from one server in Europe. `scan.py` fetches, `fixtures.py` tests the classifier over real HTTP on the format's own examples (`fixtures/`), `analyse.py` makes `results.json`.

**Result (2026-11-04): survived.** 117 of 25,012 reachable domains, 0.468 % [0.390, 0.560], bar 0.075 %. `results.json` holds every number. The entry is /experiments/have-agent-discovery-files-spread/.

The raw responses are not in this pack: they are other sites' files, and each can be fetched from its own address. This is one point in time on another list than Cloudflare's. It says a file is there, never that any agent has read it. The follow-up is /research/agent-cards-door/.
